A mega free prosthetic limb fitment camp for persons with disabilities will be organised in Coimbatore on August 9 by Narayan Seva Sansthan, a nationally acclaimed charitable organisation known for providing free prosthetic limbs across India and several African countries.

Ahead of the event, the organisers unveiled the official poster for the camp during a press conference held at the Rajasthani Hall in R.S. Puram on Wednesday.Addressing the media, camp coordinator Achal Singh Bhati and social activist Santosh Mundra said the programme marks the organisation’s second major initiative in Coimbatore.

They recalled that a measurement camp was conducted in May, during which eligible beneficiaries were assessed for customised prosthetic limbs.The prosthetic limbs prepared based on those measurements will now be fitted free of cost during the camp, which will be held at Maheshwari Bhavan, K.N.G. Pudur Junction, Thadagam Main Road, Somayampalayam, Coimbatore.

The organisers said the beneficiaries will receive advanced 3D-Printed Narayan Modular prosthetic arms and legs, developed using Japanese and German technology. The devices will be fitted by a team of qualified medical professionals to ensure comfort, mobility and long-term usability.

According to the organisers, thousands of persons with disabilities from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka are expected to participate in the camp.The event is being organised in association with the Matrushree Shantaben Tribhuvandas Patel Charitable Trust, with the objective of empowering persons with disabilities through modern assistive technology and enabling them to lead independent and self-reliant lives.

Following the media interaction, the organisers formally released the promotional poster for the camp.
Among those present at the event were Maheshwari Sabha President Damodar Prasad Somani, Jitendra Pugalia, Pradeep Karnani, along with other organisers and volunteers.
