The AICC secretary, S. Thirunavukkarasu said today that the Congress-DMK alliance for the coming Tamil Nadu assembly elections will usher in a new change in the state. The alliance, formed at an appropriate time, was very strong, he told reporters.

“It will be well and good if the Vijayakanth-led DMDK also joined the alliance,” he said.

Dismissing the threat posed by the People Welfare Front (PWF), he said that the constituent parties barely have two to four percent of vote share in the state and there was remote chance of it winning a single seat.

On the remarks made by senior BJP leader L. Ganesan that Congress was supporting terrorist activities, Thirunavukkarasu replied, “Let the BJP do a self introspection.”
