Puducherry records 84 per cent turnout

The neighbourng Puducherry recorded 84.11 per cent voter turnout with Yanam constituency registering 93 per cent of polling.

Over 9.4 lakh voters in Puducherry will decide the fate of 344 candidates contesting in 30 assembly segments. The main fight is between the Congress-DMK combine and the ruling All India NR Congress (AINRC).

The AIADMK-the ruling party in Tamil Nadu- is going it alone in Puducherry.
