Covid attacks a one year old in the Nilgiris

Seven more including a one year old boy joined the list of persons infected with Corona in the Nilgiris on Tuesday.

Stating this here the Nilgiris Collector Ms.J.Innocent Divya said that it took the total figure to 89 as two persons included on Monday had been shifted to the tally of Chennai and Namakkal in accordance with their respective addresses.

Of them four including the one year old from Ketti panchayat and one from Hubbathalai panchayat had come into secondary contact with the Covid infected Public Relations Officer of a private firm.

It is for the first time in the Nilgiris that a one year old was found to be infected.

The other two were a 69 year old woman and a 11 year old girl of Kaalavayil in Kotagiri panchayat who were connected with an infected person who had come from Mettupalayam recently .
