CPI State Conference to be held at Mannargudi

COIMBATORE : The 24th Tamil Nadu State Conference of the Communist Party of India will be held at Mannargudi from March 28.

“It is the general practice to take the flag to be hoisted at the conference from the venue, where the previous conference was held and accordingly the flag will be taken from Coimbatore on March 27,” the party’s District unit Secretary V.S. Sundaram said.

About 1,000 party workers from the district will participate in the procession to be held on March 31, the last day of the Conference, he said after the meeting of District Committee meeting on Saturday.

CPI General Secretary S. Sudhakar Reddy, national Secretaries D. Raja, Dr. K. Narayana, Nagendranath Ojha and senior party leaders R. Nallakkannu and D. Pandian and Tamil Nadu unit Secretary R. Mutharasan will participate, he said.
