DMK candidate Dravidamani retained his Gudalur assembly seat, by defeating Kalaiselvan of AIADMK by over 13,000 votes. He polled 62,128 and Kalaiselvan 48,747 votes.

R. Ganesh, of the Congress party, won the Udhagamandalam seat by defeating Vinoth, the AIADMK candidate by a margin of more than 10,000 votes.

The AIADMK won the Coonoor seat from the DMK. AIADMK’s Ramu polled 61,650 votes against DMK’s former whip, Mubarak, who won 57,940 votes.
