MK Stalin, the former Deputy Chief Minister and treasurer of the DMK, has demanded CBI probe into charges of money distribution to voters in Aravakurichi and Thanjavur.

He also added that the Election Commission should have acted much earlier and stopped the distribution of money instead of rescheduling the elections.

Elections in Thanjavur were postponed just few hours before polling commenced today. In both Aravakurichi and Thanjavur, elections will be held on May 23, with counting and results on May 25.

Talking to the media after casting his vote in Chennai, Stalin went a step ahead and demanded that CBI inquiry should be conducted in all the constituencies of Tamil Nadu. He also expressed confidence that the DMK-Congress alliance will register an impressive win the state.
