Department of Civil Engineering of Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore organised a signature event, a ‘Technical Expo on Good Construction Practices’ along with Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India), Coimbatore Centre and UltraTech Cement on 31.08.2024 and 1.9.24 at Dr.N.G.P. IT College premises.

The Expo was inaugurated by Er. R. Karana Boopathy, Chairman BuildMat 2025.

Dr.Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Secretary, Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology, presided over the function. Dr.S.U.Prabha, Principal, NGP iTECH delivered the felicitation address. Mr.V.V.Subbaiah, Regional Head Marketing, UltraTech Cement Ltd. was the Guest of Honour.
The student expo aims at providing a platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, technical knowledge and problem solving abilities. Civil Engineering students exhibited the construction stages of a residential building, materials, quality control aspects, etc. in 18 stalls to explore the ideas for construction of “Your Dream Home”. The Consulting and Practising engineers from various forums, students from other colleges and public visited the stalls.
