In a prestigious ceremony marking a milestone in Indian healthcare, Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman and Managing Director of Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH), was conferred with the CAHO Medallion of Honour for Transformative Leadership. The award was presented during the CAHOCON 2026 Curtain Raiser Evening at the Radisson Blu Hotel Chennai Airport.

The Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO) Patrons and Governing Body chose Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami for this top honor in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the healthcare sector. The award highlighted his:

• Clinical Excellence: For his sustained commitment to strengthening Quality healthcare delivery systems and improving patient outcomes.

The 10th International Conference of the CAHO organization was held over three days, from April 10th to 12th. This award ceremony took place as a key part of the event. The conference gained significant importance as it was the first-ever ‘ISQua’ regional conference to be hosted in South Asia. More than 2,500 medical experts from India and across the globe participated in the proceedings.

The conference, themed “Tech, Touch & Trust – The New Healthcare Code,” provided a platform for global experts to reimagine sustainable and digitally transformed healthcare models.

Under the transformative leadership of Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, KMCH grew into a leading 2,250-bed multispecialty hospital and one of the premier healthcare institutions in South India.
