Lady Luck smiled at Navin, who, in his final year M. Sc. Software Engineering at Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), got an internship at the University of Central Florida, in the United States. He attributes this accomplishment to two workshops that he had participated in – the ‘Dream Career’ and ‘Communication Skills and Confidence Building’ workshops – where he perfected his soft skills.

Young entrepreneur Sivakumar Palaniappan, Founder and Chief Mentor of Mastering Mind Academy, while sharing this information with Covai Post, said,” Joy knew no bounds for me when I learnt that one of my trainees, Navin, was blessed with a golden opportunity to fly to US to pursue his dream career. That’s the success of my workshops.”
Navin, who was eager to make it big in his career after his course, remarked that developing communication skills is important as it would alone help in becoming successful in one’s career. More pertinently, one should enhance their soft skills. “I thank Sivakumar Palaniappan for his excellent workshops which really helped me fly to US for my six-month internship,” he said.

‘Mastering Mind Academy’ was started a year ago by Sivakumar Palaniappan with the prime objective of honing the interpersonal skills of the youngsters, specifically college students, and making them confident about themselves.
Sharing his US experience, Navin said that his internship was for six months, starting May last year. As a research scholar at University of Central Florida, he did his intensive research in cognitive radio networks. He has successfully completed his study and will publish his papers very soon.

The six-month stay and the cultural experience have had a big impact on Navin. He says that he has become more mature now.
