Covai Post Network

There is nothing to write home about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami’s first year in office, said the DMDK leader Premalatha Vijayakanth. She was speaking to reporters at the Coimbatore airport.

Alleging that on all fronts the government had fallen behind, she claimed that its debt burden had mounted to a whopping Rupess five lakh crores. She pointed out that public anger was rising against the government.

When asked to comment on the MDMK leader Vaiko’s current promotion of the DMK working president Mr.Stalin as the next Chief Minister as against his support for Mr.Vijayakanth during the last elections.she quipped that the question should be posed to Mr.Vaiko.

She lamented that the rulers were indulging in corruption and passing the burden to the people. The DMDK was beyond caste and creed, she averred while replying to a query. The progress of the nation and the welfare of the people should be uppermost in the minds of all.Focus should be on development politics.Mr.Vijayakanth is not for encouraging differences among the people. In the name of religion no one’s sentiments should be hurt.

Mr.Vijayakanth was the first to oppose the unveiling of former Chief Minister Ms.Jayalalithaa’s portrait in the assembly.
