Nearly 68 centres all over the State have been selected, and more than adequate security arrangements have been provided at these centres, where the votes polled at 232 constituencies all over Tamil Nadu, will be counted tomorrow.

More than 9,600 officials have been appointed to count the votes.

Speaking to the reporters in Chennai, Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Lakhoni said counting would commence at 8.00 AM and results will be announced from 9.00 AM onwards. The results will be updated every five minutes on the ECI website.

The Electronic Voting Machines have been randomized. They will be counted in the presence of observers.

Cell phones are strictly banned at the counting centres. Postal ballots will be counted first. Each table will count 500 ballots. There will be an observer at each table, and the results will be declared only after the observer signs it.
