Employees who looted courier firm arrested

Acting swiftly, City Police today arrested three persons who reportedly looted a courier firm, E Com Express, on the Sungam Bypass Road in Coimbatore on Wednesday.

Investigations have also revealed that the persons were employees of the same company’s Pollachi branch.

According to police, a team, including three inspectors and 12 more police personnel, were deployed to catch the culprits after the thieves tied up an employee and stole Rs 9.48 lakh, on Wednesday at around 11 pm.

Today, three persons—29-year-old D Ramachandran from Ganapathy, A Amjathkhan from Anaimalai and 23-year-old B Aravindan from Puthur in Pollachi—were arrested by the police. They also retrieved a sum of Rs 9.2 lakh, a two wheeler and a digital video recorder from the suspects. Further investigations are on.
