Erode train extended to Coimbatore to avert Diwali rush

The Southern Railways has announced that the Egmore-Erode special fare train would be extended up to Coimbatore on two days in order to clear the festive rush between Chennai and Coimbatore during the Diwali season.

According to a release, train number 06028 from Chennai Egmore to Erode Special fair special train will leave Chennai will be extended on October 28 and will reach Coimbatore at 2 am on October 29.

The train which will leave from Chennai Egmore at 3 pm on October 28 will stop at Tirupur, Peelamedu and North Coimbatore Junctions.

In the return direction, it will be operated as train number 06027 Coimbatore to Chennai Egmore Special fare special train from Coimbatore on October 30 at 2.40 am and reach Chennai Egmore at 1.30 pm on October 31.
