Coimbatore: Former Tamil Nadu Transport Minister Senthil Balaji has demanded withdrawal of the increase in bus fare.
With the decline in the industrial growth and also without any new employment generation, the State and the people were facing economic crisis and the sudden increase in bus fare was not justifiable at this juncture, Balaji told reporters at the city airport.
Though the Government had taken the step in view of the increase in other States, Balaji said the Government had to consider the situation here and withdraw the hike.
About the proposed formation of a new party by TTV Dhinakaran and loyalist Thanga Tamilselvan’s comment that he was not willing to join it and remain an AIADMK member, Balaji said, “He will remain with Dhinakaran and work shoulder to shoulder, since he had been working for the cause and rights of the people of the State.”
