Coimbatore : The Mahila Court here on Thursday sentenced four persons, including father of a 10-year-old girl, to undergo life imprisonment for sexually abusing the girl for nearly one year.

The prosecution case was that 57-year-old Yesudas, a daily wage earner, sexually abused his daughter in 2015, who was also exploited sexually by three neighbours in Irugur on the outskrits.

The girl, studying in Grade IV narrated the incident to her class teacher, who in turn complained to the Child Helpline and All Women police station, who after investigation registered cases under POCSO and arrested Yesudas, Premkumar (19), Ravikumar alias Stanley (27) and Balakrishnan (33).

The case was going on in Mahila Court and in the judgment, Judge S Alli ordered all the four to undergo life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.5,000 each, failing to undergo another six months imprisonment.
