Fire Service personnel conducted a safety awareness rally in various cracker outlets on Saturday.

The members also gave out hand outs with fire safety instructions in a bid to create awareness to the public through the fire cracker outlets.

P.Annadurai, the Station officer said that the officer spread awareness about the preventive measures that are to be carried out in each shop while selling crackers. “We have also instructed the shop owners to keep safety measures in place like fire extinguisher, bucket of sand and water,” he said.

He further added that the license of those who do not adhere to rules would be cancelled. “We have also spread awareness among public regarding the issue,” he said.
