Flag march conducted to create awareness on exercising franchise without fear

Coimbatore : A flag march was conducted on Sunday through the main thoroughfare of the city to create awareness among the people the need to exercise their franchise without any fear.

Over 400 police and para military forces, including ITB, marched through Gandhipuram to Shivananda Colony, via Cross Cut Road, accompanied by band, covering more than five kms.

Meanwhile, deputy commissioner of Coimbatore Corporation, Prasanna Ramasamy flagged off a mobile awareness vehicle.

The van will move across the city and spread the message the need and importance of voting.
