If going to Australia for higher education is on your mind, you need to take a closer look at the services IDP Education offers. Right from counselling students on study options to ensuring that their paper work is done, IDP ensures that the process is hassle-free for the students. To bridge the gap between universities in Australia and students who aspire to study in Australia, IDP hosted their Study in Australia programme at The Residency in Coimbatore.

“We have been hosting this programme twice every year since 2010. This is an opportunity for students who aspire to study in Australia to come face to face with the representatives from various Australian universities,” Harmeet Pental, Regional Director (South Asia, North America and UK) IDP Education, said.

This year saw participation from 21 universities from Australia, including the University of Sydney, Curtin University, Bond University, the University of Queensland, La Trobe University, and the University of Melbourne.

Most in-demand courses were those related to engineering, at the graduate and post graduate levels. “Electronic, mechanical, civil and IT are the most preferred choice of engineering by a majority of Indian students.” Juris Wulfius, International Business Manager, Division of Information Technology, Engineering and Environment, University of South Australia, said.

The expo was an eye-opener for many students on the study options that are available to them in Australia. “I got to know that I can get scholarships to pursue my Masters degree in Biomedical Science in a couple of universities in Australia,” 21-year-old Ashimtha Sunderrajan said.

IDP Education has plans of hosting their Study in UK educational expo this month-end.
