FROM SAFE JOBS TO BOLD BUSINESSES: ARYA VYSYA MAANADU 2026 PUTS YOUTH, TECHNOLOGY AND CAPITAL ON ONE PLATFORM

What if the next generation stopped asking “Which job should I take?” and started asking “What can I build?”

That is the larger question behind the Tamil Nadu Arya Vysya Intellectual Maanadu 2026, which will bring together 10,000+ participants for a 12-hour knowledge, entrepreneurship and leadership movement at the PSG Convention Centre, Neelambur, Coimbatore, on August 9.

The Maanadu, organised by the Tamil Nadu Arya Vysya Mahasabha, is being positioned not merely as a community gathering, but as a platform to expose the younger generation to entrepreneurship, technology, manufacturing, finance, leadership, innovation and global business opportunities.

The scale of the initiative is significant — 10,000+ attendees, 30+ speakers, four knowledge halls and 12 hours of continuous programming, along with a large business and opportunity expo.

Project Chairman Mr. Surabi Karthik said, “The idea for the Maanadu emerged from an extensive 120-day outreach programme during which he travelled across more than 40 cities, towns and villages and interacted personally with over 4,000 young people. What emerged from these conversations was a common concern. Our young people have talent, education and ambition, but many have never been exposed to the possibilities beyond conventional employment. The Maanadu is an attempt to change that mindset — from seeking opportunities to creating opportunities”.

The event has therefore been designed around three fundamental ideas:
SEE. BELIEVE. BUILD.
SEE — Young people will hear from established achievers and business leaders who demonstrate what is possible.
BELIEVE — They will interact with professionals and emerging entrepreneurs who are closer to their own generation and whom they can realistically identify with.
BUILD — Specialised sessions and workshops will provide practical exposure to areas such as AI, technology, business, manufacturing, finance and enterprise development.

The Maanadu will also feature a substantial Business Expo, bringing together businesses and organisations across business opportunities, business solutions, community initiatives, future industries and government/advisory services. For young entrepreneurs and aspiring founders, one of the key attractions will be Vysya Shark Tank, with a proposed fund pool of more than ₹50 crore to support promising business ideas and entrepreneurs from the community. The objective is to bring ideas, mentorship, networks and capital closer together.

Another major highlight will be the launch of the VITO / Vysya Super App, envisioned as a connected digital ecosystem for the global Arya Vysya community.
The platform is designed to connect entrepreneurs, professionals, students, investors and families, enabling them to connect, collaborate, fund, grow and create opportunities across generations. It’s vision is to build a globally connected Arya Vysya network under the broader Vision 2047 initiative.

The platform brings together multiple community-focused services, including Vysya Jobs, Vysya Learn, Vysya Fund, Vysya Trade, Vysya Connect, Vysya Health and Vysya Heritage, among others.

The Maanadu will also highlight the transition of businesses and values from one generation to the next, with a special presentation featuring fathers and sons/daughters from established business families.

The programme will feature keynote addresses and panel discussions covering business, leadership, money management, national security, science and technology, mental wellness and the future of the next generation.

Among the speakers were Dr. A. Kaliyamurthy, IPS, G. R. Radhakrishnan, MD, GRT Groups, G. R. Ananthapadmanaban, MD, GRT Groups, Major Madhan Kumar (Retd.), Madurai Veeran Marimuthu, Guru Mithreshiva and K. Annamalai, among others.

The programme will also include the Arya Vysya Excellence Awards, recognising achievements across education, entrepreneurship, technology, agriculture, social impact, sports, arts, research and other fields. The event materials list a wide range of award categories spanning women, youth, business and community service.

The organisers have made entry, accommodation and food free for registered members, with the stated objective of ensuring that access to knowledge and opportunity is not determined by economic background.

The larger philosophy behind the initiative is to create an environment where a young person from a small town or village can access the same knowledge, networks and opportunities as someone from a major city.

According to Surabi Karthik, the ultimate objective is much larger than a successful one-day gathering. The Maanadu is therefore being positioned as a beginning towards a longer-term Vision 2047 — building a stronger, connected and future-ready community.

The event will be held on Sunday, August 9, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at PSG Convention Centre, Neelambur, Coimbatore. The official event material also highlights the ambition of bringing the community together to “Think Together • Grow Together • Build Together.”
