The Residency, Coimbatore, is now open with a new identity – The Residency Towers.  After a renovation at a cost of Rs. 50 crore that went on for two years, the hotel will continue to hold its four-star status.

Launching the new-look hotel to reporters here, Managing Director of the Residency Group of Hotels Ravi  Appaswamy said:  “Our chain is known for its loyal customer base and well-known food and beverage brands. We undertook a two-year long introspective journey that has resulted in three phases of future proofing of our business. Investment, renovation and upgrading of services are what we have worked on. Our group is confident that this exercise will improve our occupancy, average room rate and retention of its leadership position.”

All their 135 guest rooms are renovated with upgraded technology and facilities to keep guests comfortable. This included improved lodging facilities, optic fiber cable for data, video and audio for high speed internet browsing.

Their in-house Chinese restaurant Chin Chin has also undergone renovation and it features an interactive kitchen where guests can engage with the chef. The Residency Towers also has a chair lift for the specially blessed.

“The new brand positioning ‘Hospitality with a Heart’ and core values have been embraced to make enduring changes in guest experience. The brand invigoration would inspire the journey ahead along with requisite investments in technology, training and manpower,” Ravi says.

The Group has a presence in Chennai, Coimbatore, Karur and Puducherry. It is looking at expanding in Mysore and Madurai.
