Godman arrested for misbehaving with a teen

A 50-year old Godman was taken into custody as part of an inquiry into the complaints of attempted molestation of a 15-year old girl who was on her way to the school at Kanuvai. The girl was a Class X student of the nearby government school.
The man was part of a 50-member team of swamijis from all over Tamil Nadu who had arrived at Kanuvai to celebrate Mahalaya Amavasya yesterday. While the rest of the swamijis were returning to their villages, the man, identified as Jeevanandam, alias Marugusami, pulled the girl by her hand.
When news about the incident spread among the villagers, they caught hold of the man and beat him up. Investigations are on,
