Madhu Wadhwa, who owns and runs this made-to-order baking unit out of her apartment on Avanashi Road, never fails to make any season, festival or an occasion extra special with her desserts and delicacies. A chef by passion, she is open to experimenting with seasonal ingredients. Come summer and she surprises her customers with her innovative desserts made with mangoes, ice apples and strawberries.

Madhu credits her regular travelling expeditions as her source of inspiration. “I borrow a lot of ideas for my innovate dishes from the cuisines I taste during these tours around the globe,” she says.

However, this season, giving the people of this city an opportunity to close the doors of their kitchen and still enjoy homemade sweets is Madhu, with her Diwali specialties. “I’m open to Diwali orders for date and almond squares, chocolate blondies, caramel brownies, peanut butter cups, assorted muffins, assorted cupcakes, caramel tarts, almond Florentines, assorted homemade chocolates, and a few Indian sweets that can be made-to-order as well,” Madhu says. Her desserts in a jar can also become the perfect Diwali gift for your near and dear ones.
