Coimbatore, 4th March, 2026 – The inauguration of CR Swaminathan Auditorium & Sports Hall of CRS Memorial Endowment Project was successfully conducted on 4th March 2026, at the Government Higher Secondary School, Vagarampalayam, Coimbatore. Chief guest of the event Thiru Sanket Balwant Waghe, I.A.S., Additional Collector (Development) and Project Officer, DRDA, Coimbatore, inaugurated the Auditorium. He said :- Tamil Nadu’s fastest-growing city is Coimbatore. The people here are truly wonderful and deeply committed to social service. Whenever someone plans to start a new initiative in Coimbatore, numerous business organizations come forward to offer their support. This is indeed a very heartening and inspiring development. He expressed these views in his speech.

Mr. Balamurali, Chief education officer Coimbatore has graced the occasion. The occasion was also attended by CRS Memorial Endowment donors, members of the Residents Awareness Association of Coimbatore (RAAC), and dignitaries, including Mr.A.V.Varadharajan, Chairman,AV Group of companies, Mr..D.Vidayaprakash, Chairman Coimbatore Pioneer Fertilise and GRD-CPF Higher Secondary matriculation School, Mr. G. Soundararajan founder of RAAC and the Chairman of C.R.I. Pumps, Mr. R. R. Balsundharam, Chairman – CRS Memorial Endowment Committee, Mr.C.Balasubramaniyan, President, RAAC, Mr. Sasikumar, President Mopparipalayam Pnachyat, Mr.Senthil, Headmaster,of the School and CRSwaminathan family members Teachers and Students of the School.

The CRS Memorial Endowment, established in memory of the late C. R. Swaminathan, Precident of RAAC for more than 20 years focuses on addressing critical infrastructure gaps in government schools. The initiative aims to enhance educational opportunities for students from rural and underprivileged backgrounds. The total value of this project is ₹ 1.3 crores.

Key projects undertaken include:

1. Government Higher Secondary School, Sarcar Samakulam, Kovilpalayam: Construction of an Open-Air Auditorium for school assemblies, cultural programs, and sports activities. Development of a modern Laboratory Block for Computer, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics labs. At a cost of Rs.2 crores .

2. Construction of CR Swaminathan Auditorium and Sports Hall at Government Higher Secondary School, Vagarampalayam at a cost of R,1.3 Crores

These projects aim to create an enriching educational environment and better living conditions for students.
