ITME 2016 to introduce 25 new textile machinery

The 10th India International Textile Machinery Exhibition (ITME), beginning in Mumbai on December 3, will see the launch of 25 new products for the benefit of the business visitors. According to Sanjiv Lathia, the Chairman of India ITME 2016, the products include eight for spinning sector, seven for processing and nine for weaving.

Apart from new product launches, 162 new companies, including 32 overseas ones, are participating and showcasing their products, he said.

The event supported by Union Heavy Industry and textile Machinery Department and Gujarat Government as the state partner, make it the only privately organized exhibition supported by the central and state governments, Lathia said.

He said that a new and exclusive hall has been set aside for digital printing, testing, and measuring equipment, dyestuff, and chemicals from foreign countries, including Taiwan, Turkey, Italy, China, and Australia.

Another major attraction would be green technology and waste water technology from Italy, China and India.

Claiming that the exhibition will see a 1.5 lakh visitor footfalls over six days, from all around the world and the Indian sub-continent, Lathia said that ITME 2016 is a catalyst and the best avenue to take advantage of India’s improving manufacturing competitiveness, cost advantage, and large urban and rural market.
