Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa may be discharged from Apollo Hospitals and be back at her home Veda Nilayam at Poes Garden here in less than 15 days, AIADMK sources said.

“All her vital parameters have been brought under control. She is being given physiotherapy exercises,” AIADMK sources said. Accordingly, within two weeks she might be discharged.

Sources said that a decision on shifting her to a private room is yet to be taken by the doctors and she may be discharged from the CCU.

Recently, Apollo Hospitals Chairman Pratap C Reddy said that Jayalalithaa is fully cured and it is up to her to decide when to go home.

AIADMK party officials feel it is better for Jayalalithaa to be in the hospital for some more days under a controlled environment so that there is no relapse of the infection and her health returns to normalcy.

Doctors at Apollo Hospitals also said that Jayalalithaa is sitting up when the respiratory systems are removed. She is also taking semi-solid food.

Nobody – barring the treating doctors, physiotherapists and nurses – are allowed inside the CCU where Jayalalithaa is admitted.
