Coimbatore : Tamil Nadu BJP president Tamilisai Soundarajan today said she received an email message from Makkal Neethi Mayyam, (MM) floated by film actor Kamal Haasan, enrolling her as party member.

She told mediapersonsn in nearby Tirupur, that she received the e-mail to join that party, which she said displayed as emanating from MNM.

A message purportedly sent by Kamal had thanked her for joining the patty and gave membership number was TN TOF 92829, she claimed.

New parties were being floated by many persons like Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth and TTV Dhinakaran, she said, adding that this did not mean that these parties could bring in change immediately. She admitted that there was a vacuum in Tamil Nadu politics.

BJP, which was ruling in 22 States and at the Centre, could definitely solve the problems being faced by people, said Tamilisai who came to meet and discuss local issues with the district functionaries.

With 49 divisions in the State, she had already finished discussing the issues with the party functionaries in 20, she said adding that the demands would be compiled and handed over to Union Ministers.

She was confident that the Centre would constitute the Cauvery Management Board. She added that pardoning by Rahul Gandhi of his father’s killers was nothing but a political drama.
