National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh joined Fiona Refined Sunflower Oil in Coimbatore on Friday to promote healthier cooking habits and encourage families across Tamil Nadu to become more mindful about the oils they use in their daily meals.
The event, hosted by Fiona Refined Sunflower Oil, brought together the brand’s trade partners from across Tamil Nadu and highlighted the importance of being “oil-conscious” alongside being health-conscious. Through its ongoing “Choose Better. Eat Better.” initiative, Fiona aims to inspire consumers to make informed choices about cooking oils without compromising on the taste and traditions they cherish.
Addressing the gathering, Keerthy Suresh emphasized the role of everyday kitchen choices in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She shared that food has always been closely linked to family, comfort and togetherness in her life, adding that healthy habits often begin with small decisions made at home.
“What I like about Fiona’s message of ‘Choose Better. Eat Better.’ is that it encourages people to be more mindful about how food is prepared, without asking them to give up the flavours and dishes they enjoy,” she said.
The campaign focuses on raising awareness about the significance of cooking oil in everyday diets. Fiona highlighted its proprietary Vito Protect Formula, which the company says enables up to 50 percent higher transfer of vitamins from oil to food compared to ordinary sunflower oils available in the market, making it a practical choice for daily cooking.
Speaking at the event, Sandeep Singh, Managing Director of Bunge India, said that consumers today are increasingly aware of what goes into the food they serve at home. “Being health-conscious should also include being oil-conscious, because the choices we make every day in the kitchen can have a meaningful impact over time. Through our ‘Choose Better. Eat Better.’ philosophy, we want to encourage consumers to make informed decisions while continuing to enjoy the dishes and traditions they cherish,” he said.
The event forms part of Fiona’s broader efforts to strengthen its connection with consumers across Tamil Nadu by promoting thoughtful cooking practices and healthier lifestyle choices while remaining a trusted presence in household kitchens.
