American doughnut brand Krispy Kreme has expanded its presence in South India by entering Coimbatore with three new outlets at Brookefields Mall, Prozone Mall and Coimbatore International Airport, marking its entry into the city’s physical retail market.
The launch is complemented by six delivery locations, offering customers across Coimbatore access to the brand’s signature doughnuts through food delivery platforms Swiggy and Zomato.
The Coimbatore launch is part of Krispy Kreme’s broader expansion across India, where the brand has established a presence in cities including Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Chandigarh and Jaipur. The move reflects the growing interest in international food brands among consumers in emerging urban markets.
Speaking on the expansion, Gokul Kandhi, Chief Operating Officer of Curefoods, said that India’s food landscape was evolving rapidly, with demand for global brands extending beyond traditional metropolitan cities. He described Coimbatore as an important market in the company’s South India expansion strategy, citing its young consumer base and growing appetite for new food experiences.
Known for its freshly made, soft doughnuts, Krispy Kreme will also offer freshly brewed coffee, milkshakes and chillers at its Coimbatore outlets. The menu is designed to cater to customers throughout the day, from breakfast to late-night cravings.
The Brookefields Mall outlet was inaugurated through a ribbon-cutting and lamp-lighting ceremony. The launch celebrations included complimentary doughnuts served from an oversized Krispy Kreme Big Box, along with interactive activities for visitors.
With its entry into Coimbatore, Krispy Kreme aims to strengthen its presence in South India and tap into the city’s expanding retail and food-service market.
