Lecture on safety of women

The Women Empowerment Cell of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College conducted a guest lecture on “Women Security against Violence”.

The chief guest of the programme was M. Rangathal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore (control room). Other dignitaries included Rani, Sub-Inspector of Police, K. Chitra, Convenor, and E. Sarojini, member of Women Empowerment Cell of the college.

The main theme of the programme was about characteristics of harassment and violence against women, including eve- teasing. The Chief Guest enlightened the audience about the various clauses in the law which have been amended for the protection of women against harassment.
