Morning walkers got the fright of their lives in Thudiyalur when they noticed a leopard cross the road. The residential area was under the grip of fear when the news began to spread.

Three women, who were out for a walk in the morning, allegedly noticed the leopard cross the road. They informed the forest guards who examined the pug marks. They were, however, unable to confirm if the prints belonged to a leopard.

The officials had however cautioned the local residents against going out of their homes early in the mornings or at night. They have also advised the residents to closely watch their children and pets.
