Students should equip themselves with knowledge of the latest development in aviation sector – aviation science, airline operation and airport management – and qualify themselves to be industry fit, said Dr. S. Subbiah, Vice-Chancellor, Alagappa University.

Addressing the students of Nehru College of Aeronautics and Applied Science in Kuniamuthur during the 10th graduation ceremony today, he said the benefit of education lies in the service of community, society and nation.

“A country needs citizens with values and character. Literates with no concern for society are a burden to the nation,” he said.

Around 100 students received their degrees.

Dr. P.R. Balaji, Principal, Nehru College, proposed the vote of thanks.
