Mega Medical Camp Delivers Vital Healthcare to Rural Communities in Anaikatty

A comprehensive mega medical camp, a collaborative effort by BRJ Ortho Centre & MAK Hospital,Dreamz Foundation, Mankind Pharma and Trinity Eye Hospital, successfully provided quality healthcare services to over 150 residents from Kaliyur, Kuliyoor, and Melpavi villages (on Sunday, July 27,2025).
The camp,inaugurated with the presence of local leadership and esteemed healthcare professionals,offered a wide array of free services, including vital checks, general medical consultations, dental assessments, orthopedic screenings, and eye check-ups.
Beyond medical consultations, the initiative prioritized community education with engaging awareness sessions on crucial topics like menstrual hygiene and snake bite management. These sessions saw enthusiastic participation from the community, especially women and youth, highlighting the proactive approach to health empowerment.
The medical team included Dr. B.R.J. Satish Kumar (MBBS, MS(Ortho)., DNB(Ortho).,F.Ped.Ortho(S.Korea)), specializing in fracture and bone disease treatment,Dr.P.Thiaghu M.B.B.S., MS.,Ortho and Dr. P.P. Pachamuthu (MBBS) for bone-related consultations. Dr. K. Sanjith (BDS, MDS, MOI) provided expert dental care, while Trinity Eye Hospital conducted thorough eye examinations.
The event concluded with a symbolic tree plantation drive near the Kaliyur Vinayagar Temple,reinforcing the commitment to both community well-being and environmental stewardship.This successful camp exemplifies a powerful model of public-private partnership, bringing together hospital teams, village leaders, students, volunteers, and health workers to uplift rural health.
