Miscreants break open locked house, decamp with valuables

In a broad daylight burglary, 80 sovereign of gold ornaments and Rs. 20,000 cash were burgled from a locked house in Sundarapuram in the city, today.
An LIC of India employee, Vidya, who returned home after her duty this afternoon, noticed the front door open and found the valuables missing, police said.
Based on the complaint, police are investigating.
