Kochi: PT Thomas, MLA, has expressed surprise over the police not questioning him in connection with the case regarding abduction and abuse of an actor.

He said the actor had lodged the complaint with police using his phone.

Abandoned by the abductors on February 17, the actor reached the house of film director Lal. On hearing about the crime, Thomas said that he reached Lal’s house and rang up senior police officials and informed them of the crime.

The police, it appeared, were not serious about cracking the case, he said. Or else, they would have summoned him to collect evidence, Thomas added.

Meanwhile, the prime accused Pulsar Suni (Sunil Kumar) was produced before court on Monday in connection with his bail plea. The matter was adjourned for Tuesday.
