cOIMBATORE, 17 July 2026 – Nehru International School, Kaliyapuram, proudly conducted its Investiture Ceremony 2026–27 at the NIS Auditorium on 17th July,Friday, formally inducting the newly elected Prefectorial Council and reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nurturing responsible, disciplined, and visionary student leaders.

The ceremony commenced with the Flag Hoisting by Mr. Srinivasan, Deputy Commandant, CRPF–RAF, followed by the National Anthem. The school choir rendered the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, and the Head Boy led the school prayer. The dignitaries inaugurated the event with the traditional lighting of the kuthuvilakku, marking the auspicious beginning of the ceremony.

Welcoming the gathering, Mr. K. S. Sivaprakash, Principal, Nehru International School, emphasized the significance of leadership rooted in integrity and service. A graceful welcome dance by the students and an impressive Band Retreat performance by the School Band Team added colour and grandeur to the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. P. Krishnakumar, Pro Chancellor, P.K. DAS Deemed to be University, and CEO & Secretary, Nehru Group of Institutions, encouraged the newly elected student leaders to lead with integrity, humility, and a spirit of selfless service.

Dr. H. N. Nagaraja, Executive Director, Academics & Administration, Nehru Group of Institutions, delivered the Monologue Address, motivating students to lead with confidence, commitment, and integrity. The Chief Guest was felicitated with a memento as a token of appreciation, and the House Masters and House Mistresses were introduced to the audience.

The highlight of the programme was the Badge Presentation and Oath-Taking Ceremony, during which the newly elected office bearers proudly received their badges and solemnly pledged to uphold the values and responsibilities entrusted to them with sincerity, dedication, discipline, and commitment.

Delivering the Chief Guest’s address, Mr. Srinivasan, Deputy Commandant, CRPF–RAF, inspired the students with his powerful message on leadership, patriotism, discipline, and service to the nation. A special awareness and motivational session by Ms. Baby, Inspector of the Singa Pen Team, encouraged students to develop self-confidence, make responsible choices, and uphold strong moral values in every aspect of life.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Chaitanya Krishnakumar, Correspondent, Nehru International School and Nehru Kids Academy, who motivated the young leaders to become exemplary role models through excellence, responsibility, compassion, and unwavering commitment to their duties.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the Head Girl, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, management, staff, parents, and students for making the event a memorable success.

The Investiture Ceremony concluded on an inspiring note, reinforcing Nehru International School’s vision of empowering young minds with leadership qualities, discipline, and a strong sense of social responsibility, preparing them to become the leaders of tomorrow.
