NIT student found dead in hostel room

A student of prestigious NIT, Kozhikode was found hanging on the window of his hostel room.
According to police, Arun Krishna (24), a native of Thiruvananthapuram, had joined M.Tech (Nano Technology) on June 28. The hostel warden and other students had to break break open his room as one of his classmates informed that Arun was not responding to his repeated phone calls.
Following a complaint, police have registered a case and launched an investigation. However, his classmate said he did not find anything unusual in Arun’s behaviour till the previous day.
On July 29, Golla Ramakrishna Prasad, a student from Andhra Pradesh had committed suicide in the hostel campus.
