Non-destructive testing lab opened

The Sri Ramakrishna Advanced Training Institute inaugurated its non-destructive testing and training in collaboration with American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT).
Institute Director KR Prasad said: “This would be a boon to welding, forging, foundry, fabrication, heavy engineering and automobile engineering industries.Visual penetrant, magnetic particle, ultra sonic and radiographic tests will be done in the newlab.”
It was inaugurated by SNR Sons Charitable Trust Joint Managing TrusteeD Lakshminarayanaswamy of in the presence of PSG College of Technology Centre of Excellence on Welding Engineering and Technology GM Dr S Suresh.
The welding lab area is spread over 5,300 sqft and has machinery from Finland.
