O Panneerselvam sworn in as TN CM

Finance Minister O Panneerselvam, staunch loyalist of the late Jayalalithaa, was sworn in as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu by Governor C Vidyasagar Rao. This was followed by the induction of other ministers.

 

Most of the members including Paneerselvam were emotional during the ceremony. Panneerselvam succeeds Jayalalithaa after she died at a hospital on Monday night.

 

Earlier Panneerselvam was elected as the AIADMK’s leader of the legislature party during a meeting held at the party headquarters. Panneerselvam submitted the letter of support extended by his party lawmakers to the Governor.
