Six leading Russian Government-run institutions, including those offering medical and engineering programmes, are participating in an educational fair in Coimbatore. The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Chennai has joined hands with Study Abroad Educational Consultants to organize the day-long event.

To join the undergraduate or post graduate programme, students should have a minimum of 50 percent marks in relevant core subjects and degrees. For students from Schedule Casts (SC), Schedule Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC), the minimum score is 40 percent.

There are no pre-qualifying exams for admissions in Russian universities. A release from the cultural department of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Chennai stated that candidates who furnish their Class XII marksheets or degree certificates will be given spot admission at the education fair.

This education fair will be organized at Residency Towers, Avinashi Road, on June 6 from 10 am to 5 pm. Entry is free.
