One killed in elephant attack in Coimbatore

An elderly man who worked as a watchman for a building near the Law College was pushed by a male elephant while walking on the road. The incident happened in Marudamalai road around 6 am when he had gone out for tea.

Officials from the Forest Department have arrived at the scene and are taking further action. Information has been passed on to the nearby police station.
