COIMBATORE: The local chapter of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday welcomed the online System for Property Registration, terming it as very unique. Thanking the Government of Tamil Nadu for this initiative, Chamber President Vanitha Mohan in a statement said that there will be teething problems when a new system is introduced.
“The Government should give required training to the officials to handle the registration process and also for smooth functioning of the server,” she said.
In order to ensure ease and transparency in services to the public and also to facilitate the property owners to check the document and register themselves, the Government has recently introduced the system, which is user-friendly once gets familiarized with the procedures.
According to this the registration and creation of documents like sale deed, power of attorney and petition can be carried out online.
“Now in this online system even the stamp duty would be calculated automatically and people need to come to the Registration Department Office only for giving biometric impression and for taking photograph. The other significance of this system would be storing the document data details in the server,” Vanitha Mohan said.
