OPS faction to support Kovind

The AIADMK (Puratchi Thalaivi Amma) led by former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam today announced that it would support the NDA’s presidential nominee Ram Nath Kovind.
In a statement today, the faction said the BJP National President Amit Shah had called up Panneerselvam and sought his faction’s support to Ram Nath Kovind. The former Chief Minister held a meeting with senior functionaries of the faction today. “We have decided to support the NDA nominee following the request from Amit Shah,” the statement added.
The decision comes a day after the ruling AIADMK (Amma) faction announced its support to Kovind.
