CPI Tamil Nadu Secretary R. Mutharasan today exuded confidence about the victory of the six party alliance in the May16 Assembly elections as people were seeking change from the “corrupt governments of AIADMK and DMK that ruled for the last 50 years”.

Both these parties had ruined the State and destroyed the natural resources for their corrupt means and taken Tamil Nadu backwards, Mutharasan told reporters here.

As people were desperate for a change and wanted relief from the Dravidian parties, they had already decided to vote the DMDK-PWF-TMC alliance to power, he claimed.

Moreover, people were sure that only this alliance would be able to impose total prohibition, he said.

On opinion polls, Mutharasan said that many such polls were proved wrong by voters and the party was not bothered by it. “It is not people’s opinion, but the media’s,” he said.
