Plea to introduce robots for cleaning manholes

COIMBATORE: Members belonging to Adi Thamizhar Peravai on Monday staged a demonstration near the collectorate urging the administration to introduce robots for cleaning manholes and drainages, as being practised in Kerala.
The members, majority of them women – employed as sanitation workers, appealed to the State Government to send a delegation to Kerala and study the method, so that it could be introduced in Tamil Nadu.
