Power supply will be suspended in the areas under KV substation Kuruchi from 9.15 am to 2 pm on October 20 by the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) here.

According to a release from TANGEDCO, the reason for shutdown has been cited as replacement of damaged clamps in power transformers and LV bus and routine monthly maintenance works.

Officials who carry out the works have also been requested to finish the replacement works within the stipulated time so as to not discomfort general public.

It may be noted that the TANGEDCO had already announced power shut to eight areas under the Kuniyamuthur KV substation and Madukkarai on October 20 citing maintenance works.
