COIMBATORE : BJP and various Hindu organisations today sought an unconditional apology from lyricist, Vairamathu, who was considering Andal as his Mother, by visiting Srivilliputhur Temple.

Staging a protest demonstration in the city against Vairamuthu, the activists of Aathmeega Adiyargal and Akhila Bharatha Hindu Thuraviyargal raised slogans against the poet, who made some derogatory remarks against Andal.

Similarly, they also condemned DMK Rajya Sabha MP, Kanimozhi for her reported remarks on Lord Venkatesh at Tirupathi. The people should give a befitting reply to such non-believers, who are making unnecessary remarks, thus confusing people, they said.

BJP State general secretary, Vanathi Srinivasan and treasurer, S R Sekhar were among a few party workers were also participated in the demonstration.
