PSG Arts Alumni Association Announces ‘Curry Masala-2026’ to Support Student Scholarships

The PSG Arts Alumni Association of PSG College of Arts & Science has announced its flagship biennial fundraising event, ‘Curry Masala-2026’, to raise funds for merit-cum-means scholarships for deserving students.
The event is scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 5.45 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Alumni Auditorium on the PSG College of Arts & Science campus in Coimbatore. Inspired by the founding philosophy of PSG & Sons’ Charities — “Let there be charity so that others can partake in my success” — the initiative aims to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent academically deserving students from pursuing higher education.
The PSG Arts Alumni Association currently provides around ₹15 lakh annually in scholarship assistance. The funds raised through Curry Masala-2026 will contribute directly towards supporting students who demonstrate academic merit but face financial difficulties.
Beyond its fundraising objective, Curry Masala has evolved into a platform for student talent, experiential learning and leadership development. The entire programme is conceptualised, organised and presented by students under the guidance of faculty members.
The evening will feature a range of programmes, including musical and cultural performances, a fashion show, gourmet catering and event management activities. These initiatives are designed to provide students with practical exposure to leadership, organisation, hospitality and professional presentation while allowing them to showcase their talents before alumni, industry leaders and distinguished guests.
The PSG Arts Alumni Association has invited alumni, supporters and well-wishers to participate in the event and contribute to the educational aspirations of deserving students.
