The 34th Graduation day of PSG College of Arts & Science was held on 3rd September, 2022 (Saturday) at 10 AM in GRD Auditorium. Shri L.Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG & Sons Charities, presided over the function. The Convocation began with the welcome address of the Principal Dr. D. Brindha, followed by her presentation of the annual report of the academic progression.
The Chief Guest for the Convocation was Dr..Upendra Kumar Singh, Director, Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), Defence Research Development Organisation, Bangalore, delivered the key note address. “Youth of today are the architects and leaders of our Nation tomorrow” said the Chief Guest Dr. Upendra Kumar Singh. He highlighted on the discoveries & inventions of young Indians. He also spoke about Covid Pandemic crisis & Post pandemic opportunities in India. He urged the graduates to develop the right attitude, knowledge and skill-sets to meet the demands of the challenging world. He also insisted that the students should work with a vision to make India an ‘Aspirational Society’ and emerge as a global economic power in the future.
Dr.Upendra Kumar Singh awarded the degrees to 3650 Graduates in various disciplines including 55 Doctoral degrees, 889 Post Graduates degrees and 2589 Under Graduate degrees. Ms. Radhika Ravi, India Head – Campus Hiring WIPRO was the Guest of honour and she honoured the 117 rank holders in various disciplines with medal and merit certificates. Dr. S. Rajeswari, Head, Department of Botany, proposed the Vote of Thanks. The convocation ceremony ended with the National Anthem
