The PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSG iTech) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with virtual instrumentation company National Instruments (NI) India, Bengaluru, today.

The institution will inaugurate the NI Graphical System Design Centre, a forum for the exploration of scientific temperament in students. The memorandum was signed by L Gopalakrishnan, managing trustee of PSG Institutions.

Addressing the gathering, Michel Haddad, academic director of EMEIA, NI (India), highlighted the objectives of the memorandum, aiming mainly at minimising the gap between industry requirements and theoretical university learning by using hands-on real world applications in engineering.

Students displayed projects created using NI products at the function.

P V Mohanram and G Chandramohan, principal and vice principal, PSG iTech, Solaikutty Dhanabal, academic manager and Visweswaran Jagadeesan, senior academic technical consultant, both from NI (India), were also present at the event.
